TrueLock is a privacy-first application for local encryption, protected capsules, and controlled file access. This Privacy Policy explains what data the app processes, why it is processed, and when third-party platform services may be involved.
2. What Data TrueLock Processes
- Files, text, images, audio, video, and attachments you choose inside the app
- Precise and approximate location data when you use Geo Lock or geo-based conditions
- Camera data when you capture images or scan content in the app
- Microphone data when you record audio in the app
- Device identifiers used locally for license binding, review access, or entitlement protection
- Huawei IAP purchase data, order identifiers, signatures, and HUAWEI ID related purchase responses when you buy or restore Pro through AppGallery
- Support emails or messages that you voluntarily send to us
3. How TrueLock Uses Data
- Encrypting and decrypting content locally on your device
- Creating, opening, and verifying protected capsules
- Applying optional access conditions such as password, time, geo, or visual checks
- Binding and validating licenses on the current device
- Activating or restoring Huawei AppGallery purchases
- Opening files, previews, audio, video, and trust documents inside the app
- Responding to support requests you initiate
4. What TrueLock Does Not Do
- TrueLock does not upload your encrypted capsule content to TrueLock servers
- TrueLock does not run advertising SDKs
- TrueLock does not run product analytics or behavioral tracking SDKs
- TrueLock does not sell personal information
- TrueLock does not require a mandatory TrueLock cloud account for core functionality
5. Third-Party Services and Network Use
- Huawei AppGallery / Huawei IAP for purchase activation and restore
- Public time services for trusted time checks
- Map or geocoding services for address search or geo-based conditions
- External browser or email apps when you open links or contact support
These requests are limited to what is needed for the selected feature. TrueLock does not transmit your encrypted files or private keys to its own servers.
6. Storage and Retention
- Encrypted content and related local app data are stored on your device unless you export or share them yourself
- Temporary files may be created during viewing, import, export, or share operations and may later be removed by the app
- License state and review-access state may be stored locally to keep your entitlement active on the current device
- If you uninstall the app, locally stored data may be removed according to your device and operating system behavior
7. Your Choices
- You can use the app without creating a TrueLock account for core features
- You can decline optional permissions, although some features may stop working
- You can avoid Geo Lock, camera, or microphone features if you do not want those data categories processed
- You can contact support to request information about privacy or paid features
8. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect product, legal, or compliance changes. The latest version will be published at the privacy policy URL associated with TrueLock.
